What Are Snapchat Fonts?
Snapchat fonts are Unicode characters that stand in for the font options Snapchat does not give you. The app has a caption tool with a few built-in typefaces for photos and videos, but your display name, group chat names, private story titles and chat messages are plain text fields with no styling at all. Pasting characters that already look decorative, such as the cursive ๐ฉโด๐๐ถ, the Kawaii lookalike letters แฅแฅแฅแฅฒ, the bubble letters โโโฅโ or the small capitals ษดแดแด แด, is the only way to change how those fields look. They are stored as characters, not as an installed font, so friends see them without doing anything.

Where Can You Use Snapchat Fonts?
Where the styles do and do not work inside Snapchat:
- Display name: editable any time from your profile, accepts Unicode and emoji, and is what friends see in Chat, on stories and on the map. Keep it short; long names are cut off in the Chat list.
- Username: the permanent handle under your name. It allows only letters, numbers and a few marks such as underscores and full stops, must start with a letter, and Snapchat lets you change it only about once a year. Styled text cannot go here.
- Group chat names: tap the group, open its settings and edit the name. Unicode works, and every member sees the styled version.
- Private story names: styled titles appear on the story ring and in the viewer list.

Pick styles that survive Snapchat's dark theme
Snapchat now offers a dark mode, and thin cursive on a black background can look faint. Bold cursive ๐๐ธ๐ฟ๐ช and the bold sans styles hold their weight in both themes; the regular script is better kept for captions on a bright photo.
Do not rely on the letter-flag style in chat
Because the flag letters depend on invisible separators, they are the most fragile style on this page. Use them for a story caption you can see rendered before posting, not for a group name that has to look right on every member's phone.
Combine one frame with one style

Keep the username searchable
