Aesthetic bio ideas to copy: soft, dark, y2k, coquette and gamer
30 ready-made aesthetic bio lines and layouts, grouped by mood, built from styled Unicode letters and symbols, with the character limit for every app.
A bio is four lines at most, and the first one does most of the work. The layouts below are ready to copy: select the text inside a box, paste it into your profile, and swap the placeholder words for your own. Each one uses styles you can regenerate with your own name on the bio fonts page, plus symbols from the aesthetic symbols collection, so nothing here depends on a font you would have to install.
Every line is shown in a code block so that spacing and line breaks survive copying. Some apps strip a leading space or collapse two line breaks into one; if that happens, the fix is at the end of this guide.
Soft and dreamy
Soft bios lean on thin Cursive Script letters, lowercase everything, and small punctuation like ˚ and ・ rather than emoji. They read best on a light profile with pastel photos.

The ˚ ༘ ⋆ frame in the first box is a common opener because it looks centred without actually being centred; the same symbols on both sides trick the eye. Keep the pronoun and age line plain so it stays readable for search and screen readers.
Dark and moody
Dark bios use Gothic Fraktur or Bold Old English for one word, then plain lowercase for the rest. Do not set the whole bio in Fraktur; a single blackletter word carries the mood, and three lines of it become unreadable at bio size. The gothic fonts page has both weights, and the hollow Double Struck letters in the fourth box below are a colder alternative when blackletter feels too medieval.

Minimal
Minimal bios are the hardest to get wrong and the easiest to make boring. Use Clean Sans or Small Caps for a single label, one separator character, and nothing else. Dots, thin bars and single arrows do the structural work.

The Small Caps alphabet has one quirk worth knowing: there is no small-cap x or f in the block it comes from, so the site substitutes lookalikes such as ꜰ, which some devices draw slightly bolder. If your name contains those letters, preview it on a friend’s phone before committing.
Y2K and cyber
The y2k look is Vaporwave Wide (fullwidth) letters, Typewriter Mono, brackets, and the old-web symbols ★ ☆ ▶ ‹3. The wide letters take up a lot of room, so the whole bio usually fits in two lines. More combinations are on the y2k fonts page.

Note that fullwidth text counts one character per letter like normal text, but each fullwidth space (the wide gap in cyber angel) is also a single character, so it costs the same as a regular space.
Coquette
Coquette bios are bows, ribbons and Bold Cursive, usually in pink or cream profiles. The bow 🎀 is an emoji, so it renders in colour; if you want it to match a muted feed, use the text-only ribbons ⋆ ❀ and the tiny hearts ♡ ᡣ𐭩 instead. The cute fonts page has more script pairings.

The ᡣ𐭩 heart in the second box is built from two rare letters and is the most fragile item in this guide; on an older Android phone it may show as two boxes. Swap in ♡ if you are unsure.
Gamer
Gamer bios need to be scannable: game, rank, platform, schedule. Bold Sans handles the name, Squared letters make a good tag, Small Caps keeps the details tidy, and a single Bubble word (the ⓡⓔⓐⓓ in the last box) works as a “look here” marker. Remember these go in the bio or display name, never the username; the gaming fonts page covers which games accept what.

Character limits per app
Fancy letters are stored as Unicode characters, and most of them come from the higher planes of the standard, which means some counters treat each one as two. Twitter/X is documented as counting most of them double; Discord counts them singly; Instagram and TikTok have behaved both ways across app versions, so treat their limits as a ceiling rather than a promise. Either way, the safe plan is to paste, look at the counter and cut from the end.
| App | Name / display name | Bio | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 | 150 | line breaks allowed; name is searchable | |
| TikTok | 30 | 80 | bio is short, so one styled line only |
| Twitter / X | 50 | 160 | styled letters usually count double |
| Threads | 30 (shared with Instagram) | about 150 | imports the Instagram bio |
| Discord (About Me) | 32 | 190 | Markdown symbols like * and _ can format text |
| WhatsApp (About) | 25 | 139 | no line breaks in the About line |
| Telegram | 64 | 70 | bio limit is 140 for Premium at the time of writing |
| Snapchat | 30 | none | display name only |
| Roblox (About) | 20 | 1,000 | display name is filtered; see the Roblox page |
| Bluesky | 64 | 256 | roomiest of the social apps |
Two practical consequences. On TikTok, 80 characters is one styled line plus one plain line, so pick a single box from above and drop the rest. On Twitter/X, a fully styled two-line bio can run out at around 80 visible characters, so style only the first word or two.
Getting the layout to stick
If the pasted bio loses its line breaks, type or paste it into your phone’s Notes app first, check the breaks are there, then copy the whole thing and paste it into the app in one go. Instagram’s editor accepts line breaks directly in Edit profile → Bio, and TikTok’s does too, but some older Android versions of both drop the return key. For an empty spacer line, put a single ⠀ (the Braille blank pattern, U+2800) on it, because an empty line is deleted on save.
Leading spaces are removed everywhere, so “centred” bios rely on symmetrical frames like the ones above rather than real centring. And if any symbol shows as a rectangle for you, the device is missing that glyph; why fonts show as boxes explains which styles are safest to fall back on.
Quick checklist
- Pick one mood and one styled line; keep the other lines plain.
- Paste into Notes first if line breaks disappear.
- Watch the counter: Twitter/X and some others count styled letters twice.
- Use symmetrical frames instead of leading spaces to fake centring.
- Keep your searchable words (name, city, niche) in ordinary letters.
